We are no longer accepting applications!

tate-academy-rp:

The admins have decided that we are not going to accept applications anymore. I’m sad to announce that the Tate Academy will be closing officially on the 17th of February, the one year anniversary. All roleplayers are still more than welcome to roleplay for as long as they want to, but the main blog will not be check anymore after the 17th.

The new bio cards will all be posted before we close.

We have loved roleplaying with you all, it has been an amazing experience and it’s extremely sad to have to close, but it seems like the best thing to do.

I have to admit, it took me a few reads to actually take in what this post said. I legit cried a little because it feels so weird actually saying goodbye to my characters and others who have all meant so much to me. There are a so many of you with whom I have already lost touch with, but I truly hope that I never do with the other few of you guys.

I know this is going to be a long post, so bear with me here.

You guys, Zoe, Ree, Lauren, Lauren, Chey, Annabell, Drew, Becca, Sarah and Basset had all begun to mean so much to me because you guys had been there for me when my real life got to shit and stuff. And I’m telling you guys, my summer of ‘12 has been so memorable because of all the plotting and late night Skyping and god, I don’t know how to put the rest into words.

Basically, you guys have been one of the most amazing friends a person could ask for, and seriously, I miss you guys to bits.

The worst part about this post is that somewhere, I just hoped things would pick up, you know? Like, one day, I log on and there are starters and replies and the Chatzy’s active again and just.

Shit, this is getting emotional.

I’m not deleting any of my characters right now, because seriously, if ever, any of you guys still want to RP or just talk, let me know on my personal here

Special shoutouts to Anthony, Charlotta, Analia, Giuseppe, Claire, Chiara, Nettie, Sanne, Emerson, and Dorian.

It has truly been an honour roleplaying with you guys.

This occupation thing is getting really old…

Tell me about it. Oh, and I finally recreated Starbucks coffee in my lab, but I don’t have any test subjects.

I suppose I should be more social.

What am I to do if I needed something from outside the Academy?

Oh, right. I can’t have it.

I think I missed Christmas.

I—I don’t know, Char.

What’s going on, Ellie?

I—I wish I knew. I just feel… Down. You know those spells where you just feel pathetic about everything in life and then die? I’m getting that vibe right now. I feel.. disoriented, I guess.

I think I missed Christmas.

I— I don’t know. I don’t even remember the last time I ate something.

Ellie, honey… are you alright?

I—I don’t know, Char.

I think I missed Christmas.

And the Tarsometatarsus is…

julius-voltaire:

ellie-cooper:

The tarsometatarsus is a bone that is only found in the lower leg of birds and certain dinosaurs. It is formed from the fusion of several bones found in other types of animals, and homologous to the mammalian tarsal, ankle, and metatarsal, foot, bones.

image

That certainly hasn’t happened in a long time. Though, why do you want to know about the Tarsometatarsus?

Thank you for filling me in to the common knowledge.

I’m attempting to repair one but I’m missing fragments. It’s not fitting back in the bird properly.

Well, I apologise. Julian, correct?

Repair? What do you mean, repair?

And the Tarsometatarsus is…

I’ll have to try again.
